GoTo and Acronis have announced a new strategic partnership that brings native backup and disaster recovery features directly into the LogMeIn Resolve platform. The result is a unified data protection offering designed to help MSPs and IT teams manage endpoints, enforce policies, and recover from disruptions without needing to switch between platforms.

The LogMeIn Data Protection Suite powered by Acronis combines endpoint management with integrated business continuity tools, reducing the operational gaps that often exist between device visibility and data resilience. For MSPs supporting distributed workforces and hybrid infrastructure, the move simplifies service delivery and strengthens recovery SLAs.

Addressing fragmentation in backup and endpoint management

Most IT teams today rely on a patchwork of tools to cover endpoint management, backups, and incident recovery. This creates operational silos, increases the risk of misconfiguration, and delays response time during a failure or cyber event. The GoTo–Acronis integration aims to solve this by embedding Acronis' core backup and recovery workflows into the existing LogMeIn Resolve interface.

Through the new suite, IT professionals can schedule file- or image-level backups, configure policies based on organizational or customer-specific needs, and restore systems instantly, all within the same UI used for managing endpoint performance and troubleshooting. That includes automated, policy-based scheduling with support for flexible recurrence and frequency settings.

The suite also supports full workspace protection, with backup options for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments. This aligns with the increasing demand from SMBs and MSPs to secure not just local endpoints, but also business-critical SaaS applications. The integration allows for unified visibility across both endpoint and cloud assets, which is often a challenge in fragmented environments.

Built with MSP scale in mind

The suite's design reflects multi-tenant needs from the start. Whether supporting dozens or hundreds of customer environments, MSPs can roll out backup agents, enforce consistent policies, and monitor backup status across tenants without adding new tools or training cycles. It also reduces overhead by consolidating recovery workflows into the same place teams already use for remote support and endpoint monitoring. For existing Acronis customers, the integration offers another deployment option, with Resolve serving as a front-end for backup configuration and recovery tasks.

This release marks the first phase of a broader partnership between GoTo and Acronis. Future updates are expected to deepen integration across endpoint security, resilience, and automation, particularly as demand grows for lightweight, AI-assisted tools that can support lean IT teams managing complex environments.

For GoTo, the move strengthens Resolve’s position as a central workspace for endpoint lifecycle management. For Acronis, it expands delivery channels and places its core recovery tools in front of more MSPs without requiring a standalone deployment.
